New shoes <3

Alright. This is just a short post about the fact that I got some new shoes. Tomorrow I’ll wear them for the first time and then take a picture for the blog, but I’m excited! They are 3 1/2 inch brown leather oxford heels! And I love them! The best part? They were only 16 dollars. The other best part? My mom paid for half! Yay! You can see them/ buy them at this website

So while those are adorable. I just want to add a picture of one of my favorite dresses right now.

But I love this dress. I put it on my desk top a while ago. This dress is well suited for her age. I love how it’s long but above her ankles showing off her shoes. And the color is to die for.

Just a quick entry because it’s time for bed.

A type of fashion like any. I like them, I don’t know whether I’ll ever get one, but they sure can be cool. I’m not sure whether I like when there are a lot of tattoos. But one well chosen and well placed tattoo can have a dazzling affect. I love that they are giant conversation starters, I love that they can show who you are, and I love the looks people get when others notice them. I’ve always been fascinated.

Also, people who get tattoos can tolerate both needles and pain. Which in my book is about the most awesome thing ever. There is a sight that I’ve been searching and I thought I’d post a couple of my favorites. The first I love what it means. They also happen to be some lyrics to a song I love. The placement is nice and very elegant. But it’s too big for me and not quite simple enough. but I still really like it.

french for "Save me from what I want"

The swirls remind me of Jane Austen and the type of script that was common during her time period. It is quite unfortunate, I think, that it is not common now. Beautiful. The next is a selection is off of pinterest and I love nearly all of them.

I especially love the birds. The first shown is one of my favorites because it’s not perfect. It looks like someone sharpied it on and i love that. The unicorn- got to admit, it’s weird. But I also have to say that I love the simplicity of it.

I also love the map on her back. If I ever got that tattoo, I would go to a tattoo parlor wherever I went (in another country or continent) and have them tattoo a small star or dot on the location, that would be amazing.

Ok the final one I pulled is my all time favorite. Right now if I had to get a tattoo I would get this one. Except a little different because I would want it to be my own to some extent.

Tattoos, to me have to mean something, especially to the person who is getting them. It can’t just be a design you thought was pretty. It has to represent you, represent your all, your being. It has to be beautiful. It has to be you. In every way.

A skirt once dreamed..

a little skirt I was dreaming up until I found it online... what is this!?

I was going to make this skirt and then I found this online and realized someone had beat me to it. I’ll make it sometime. It’s a good thing that I have plans for other things like my fabulous one shouldered off white dress to match my brown boots…. 🙂

The bandeau on the top of this dress enhances the figure and adds a special elegance to it. The pin is interesting, but removable. I also really love how they did this models hair.

Just Another Vera

I love the simple Grecian feel to this dress. it’s simple, but by no means plain. The drape from the shoulder to the hip make it a very elegant and flowing dress.

Shoes.. and other nice clothing.

Ok. I admit i haven’t posted in about a month. I regret this! BUT!!! I am now on mid-winter break And I hope to post two or three times! This first post is just about the few things fashion wise going on in my life at the moment.

I should have taken a picture but the other day I went to the ballet and wore the most urban thing I have ever worn. Think this through, since i can’t show you a picture.

Gray nylons, then over that, black lace leggings, then pair that with black socks pushed down to my ankles and black leather t-straps. Over that I had a gray skirt with a black tank tucked into it. Over that I wore a jean jacket. I felt a little crazy to say the least. Most of the time my style is a little more classic, chic. But I find myself heading more and more toward the urban direction, as I start lending myself to wear clothing that is more out there for me. But anyways that was a great outfit day for me.

Now, I want to blog about some shoes. I have been pulling shoes off websites for a while. I can’t tell you their names, but I can give tribute to the stores they most likely came off of. These being, Nordstroms, Mod Clothe, Zappos, Urban Outfitters, and Of course I know that all of these things only carry different brands of shoes, but that’s all I can remember. There is even a pair from Hot Topic. But the main thing is that I love shoes. My sister loves bags. I love shoes.

I love these shoes. I would never wear them. But I love them none-the-less. They are beautiful. Fresh off from Urban Outfitters they would go great with a plain white tee and a pair of skinny jeans. Or cropped jeans, white shirt tucked in, brown belt, and gray shrug or cardigan.

Not to hefty winter boots.

These boots are great because they fit the foot nicely outlining it and making it appear slim and aren’t they are not bulky. I would categorize them as winter/spring boots. They aren’t too fuzzy to say they can’t be worn in the spring, with a nice pair of tights, and some striped socks pushed down to the ankle. But in the winter they can be worn with jeans and layered sweaters.

On that note it reminds me of one of the hardest fashion things I’m facing. The transition from winter to spring. Yes it’s still winter, but I am shopping more this season/month. I am still in the sweater mode. I want to wear and buy lots of sweaters. I just recently got two sweaters that are great for spring because they are three quarter length sleeves, which is great. But I’m having a hard time not layering. I suppose when the heat comes I’ll naturally stop layering. But during spring you can still layer, but it’s time to break out the shorts, and wear tights under them. And don’t forget knee high socks and nylon types of things. Also spring is a time for dresses and skirts. Spring. But as I shop I also think, “can I wear this during the summer?” So I have acquired a couple of tank tops too. But as spring comes into view I want to start showing a little more skin. The great thing about this time of year is that you don’t have to wear heavy coats. You can show off that great outfit you’re wearing, this also means you can play up your accessories. So, right now, my plan for spring is to start slowly easing out of winter clothes and showing off my style by using jewelry, and light layering.

cutest sandals in all get out.

I am attached to these shoes. It is a very fortunate thing that I don’t remember where I pulled them from because now I cannot buy them. But these shoes are great. The contrast between the canvas and leather pull the eye to the feet. And the number of buckles makes you think that there are about three or four straps rather than one. Now this may be true, but You probably only need the one buckle. Their detailing is just GREAT!! Now I don’t know what else to say about these shoes except that they are just the cutest things!

I loved this right away. All of their clothes are so adorable. Very romantic. This is one of my favorite adds for them. The combination of the browns and pinks are adorable and the adding of the floral accents just make this outfit to die for. Maybe you haven’t noticed but right now I have a thing for brown leather weather imitation or real. My favorite thing about this outfit is the pink and gray layering of the dress and the jacket. Very stylish and cute.

Those are just a couple things that I have fallen in love with right now. Something I am always picture are music videos. Because to me a well written music videos combine a good plot, good fashion, and a good music. And it is also food for the soul, good music has a huge affect on my life. It can make me happy, content, excited, ambitious. . . You name it. This is a song I want to share because I have been in love with it lately and it has made my spirits soar. So I hope it feeds your soul just as it has mine.

Also chew on these delectable shoes. (not literally because I’m not sure how happy I would be with you if you did.)

peacock shoes at hot topic??

I know I made them huge but I wanted you to see their detailing. I don’t think I have to describe why i love these shoes. So… I’m not going to.

So on that happy note I’m signing off and hoping you have a good week filled with Love.

Also coming soon, I will be talking about Vera Wang’s White collection for David’s Bridal!

Hello Hello!

And a good afternoon to you!

Alright, for today I will be talking about a couple pieces of clothing I’ve found and loved! The first is a lovely pair of shoes.

Cucoo booties from Modcloth

What I love about this boot!! Ankle high suede and open toe! I saw them and fell in love! My favorite part however about them is the stitching detail, buttons, and the lace. I can see these with some awesome medium blue denim skinny jeans and a ruffled shirt with a sweater belted over it. I LOVE these shoes!

Next I have a necklace that I love for it’s color. It is from a designer called Stella & Dot. This designer is somewhat expensive, but I was looking through their collection and this necklace really stood out to me. It has a beautiful braided look and the colors are spectacularly vivid.

Bamboleo Necklace: $228

I call it the Pocahontas necklace. What struck me about this necklace was the way it was made. every bead is connected to a chain making it a very sturdy necklace. All of these strands are connected into a braid that makes it relatively sturdy and not likely to loose shape. It’s stunning colors would look lovely with a strapless yellow dress and your hair tied up in a loose bun with simple to no earings. One thing I know about accessories is that you don’t want to over do them. And this necklace deserve to be all alone!

The next piece is a sweater pattern I found for a child of two or three and I really want it for myself. I just have to figure out how to crochet better and how to re-size the pattern and I’ll be set to go!

The cutest sweater in all get out!

The thing I really love about this sweater is the colors. the nice gray and the white look enchanting together. And the brown buttons just add the cutest touches. What is great about this sweater is that on days when you don’t feel like trying too hard just slip on this sweater over a tank with some light colored skinny jeans and some brown boot mid-calf boots. And easy cute outfit because this sweater acts as it’s own form of accessory.

Well that’s all for now! Hopefully on Tuesday I’ll get a good outfit of the day to show you! Maybe I’ll even get one tonight!

Start Over

Ok. So right now I’m feeling very optimistic. I’m in a sort of transition stage right now as well. Even though Sophmore year is half over I am just now realizing the consequences of procrastination (more than the obvious). And I thought I would share this with you. I recently am doing a very large research project and it was due today. Last night it was not done. at 12pm I went to bed and admitted to myself that I had failed. And then all of a sudden a feeling suddenly swept through me, a very very relieved feeling. Because i had procrastinated on this project for the past week and a half my life has been consumed by it. I am good at coping with stress so I didn’t feel that, but my brain couldn’t think about anything else. And after I admitted that to myself I realized that it’s school. Education is important, but it’s not the most important part of life. It’s not life. And I realized that God has been neglected in my life for a while. So I’m starting a new chapter. I’m not procrastinating anymore, and I can know I’m serious when I say that because I know there are more consequences than bad grades. I started that this week and my grades have all ready gone up. But today has just been good. I’ve felt very lifted, despite the fact that I kept falling asleep. Going to bed early tonight! Here’s a song that I love, reminds me of New Years Eve (good times, good friends, good dance parties) and is kind of my theme song right now mainly for the chorus. Some of the words are questionable to my cause, but it makes me feel good so… 🙂

Dog Days Are Over

So that’s that! Now to continue with my long needed update!!

Ok, I know I said I would put up pictures of the things I made, and I will, but not today! I have to many things to say!

First order of business- a warm winters outfit. A couple weeks ago I wore this outfit.

a winters day

that’s my least blurry picture. A navy dress ( I call it my sailor dress.) It is now available on Modcloth as

Coach Tour Dress

but I got mine at Forever 21. I plan on resewing the buttons on mine. They will be smaller real brass buttons. I then covered it with my favorite gray cardi (which I seem to work into every outfit because it’s so versatile) unbuttoned and belted with my dad’s old brown leather belt. To finish off the outfit I used an adorable scarf that my friend gave me for my birthday to cover up the buttons on the collar of the neck and added my silver rose necklace

very blurry picture of rose necklace

which you can see is very rose like. I got that from my other friend for my birthday. And I double layered my textured off white tights over my gray ones, to stay warm and to look not so pale.

my tights, a very simple textured pattern

After that I finished off with my my lovely mid calf brown faux leather boots. And that’s the outfit of the day for the past month. Sorry for the delay. But other stuff comes first.

Fashion trend: Layers. In the winter it gets mighty cold! In my look i dressed it down with layered sweater, belt, and scarf. Then I layered my tights to stay extra warm.

My favorite part: My boots. I’m totally crazy about them they really make the outfit more classy. And I can’t really get enough of them. I don’t wear them as often as I would like, but whenever I do they make me feel very special!

Next order on the agenda are some designs I’ve been working on. The first it coming and going. It’s a long term project, but i hope to have it done by the last day of school so I can wear it then. The golden thing about this dress is that because I’ve taken time to design it I have it in my head. And I can fit it with my clothes and I can see myself wearing it a lot. It is going to be a cream colored dress with lots of different shades of off white. It will either be a strapless dress or a one shoulder, most likely strapless. The top half will go to about the bottom of my rib cage and it’s hard to describe but the picture will help. It will have strips of fabric sewn in a sort of twist. Then the bottom will be gathered at the waist and be loose and good for twirling! it will go down until about an inch above my knees. Here’s the sketch.

the sketch

I’m very excited about this dress. I’ll wear it with my brown boots and a pair of fake gauges that I want on (I will get them! They are next to buy on my list. even before the yellow leather gloves)

Sankofa Wings

I also really love this pair as well. This whole shop is great! Fake gauges galore!! It’s called tribal style.

ma'ayan curls

they do really really beautiful work at that site. Anyways either of these would look great with my dress! So yes I’m excited about that too!

It’s late and I’m getting tired. So maybe Sunday I will do another post with two more designs of mine as well as an outfit of the day and Christmas presents! I’ll give you a sneak peak. Really I’m just so excited to wear it out on January 22nd when I go and see the opera  The Barber Of Saville with my friend Cassandra. It’s going to be the best thing ever! So here it is, probably the most fashionable thing I got all Christmas!

my new beaded clutch

Isn’t it just divine? Yes I think so. Score one for Grandma! I am just too excited for this! So on that happy note. I’ll leave you!

All my love! I love all my readers. I really do.

OH! Also! I now have something called And basically what you do is take a test type thing so they can figure out your style. Then you go “shopping” and say whether or not you love things. And it is addictive. You can also follow another botique. I follow three. Here’s my site

so come and visit!

An Update and another Delay

So, I just want to update and say that all the presents I gave were well received. But I will not blog about them now. I have a lot to write about including a dress I’m designing and a fashion shoot I’m planning that will feature items I’ve created. But for now I do not have time to blog about these things because of over exhausting amount of homework right now. So I’ll, most likely, be giving a major update Friday evening! Thanks for understanding!
